Chick Peas

Serves 6

Ingredients

Chick peas
Bicarbonate of soda
Water
Salt
Extra virgin olive oil oil

Method

Soak chick peas in water for a couple of hours with a pinch of bicarbonate of soda

Boil in water and salt, just covered on very low heat and boil for 1-2 hours or till cooked.

After the chick peas are cooked, (depends how old the peas are as to how long they take to cook) keep in the cooking juice in a jar and then heat up as required

For a delicious snack, warm the chick peas and serve with virgin olive oil and ground pepper on crusty bread.
