Polenta e Fagioli

Yet another variation of polenta. A very economical and filling meal

Serves 6

Ingredients

Polenta as cooked in basic recipe Polenta All' Abruzzese
400 grams of dried beans
80 grams of lard strips
10 ml of olive oil
500 grams of ripe tomatoes
1 onion
3 sticks of celery chopped
a few leaves of marjoram
1/2 small chilli


Method

Boil the beans until soft, add the celery

Fry the lard in oil, the sliced onion and the marjoram. Add the tomato and chilli and when the tomato is well mixed through, combine with the beans. Season the polenta with this sauce
