Milk Rice

This is really a dessert for children but its easy and soothing for all ages. It also makes a good breakfast dish

Serves 6

Ingredients

110 gms plain white rice
20 grams sugar
1 litre milk
1 litre water
salt
Wash rice three times

Method

Put water and salt in saucepan, when boiling add the rice and cook slowly till the water is absorbed

Add sugar and milk and continue to cook slowly till the rice is soft.

Serve hot or cold

Delicious with poached fruit
