Mietta’s Italian Family Recipes

Mietta combines the stories of the Italian families that introduced Australians to the joys of Italian food and hospitality from 1940s onwards. It is the story of her family's arrival from Milan in 1939 and the restaurant they established in the early 1940s. But, it not just a history, most of the book celebrates Italian food in Australia with a selection of fabulous and achievable recipes. Mietta’s Eating and Drinking in Australia 2001

Covering the country from side to side and from top to bottom this book is filled with informative reviews of 3,800 establishments ranging from fine dining to coffe and bars. An absolute must for anyone who eats out of the home either 'at home' or when travelling. There are 1,200 reviews in Melbourne and country Victoria, 1,000 for Sydney and country NSW, 600 for Queensland, 400 for WA, and the other states and Territories are covered with equal thoroughness.
