Wall Two 80
Set in a side street off Balaclava Road this café was once a kosher butcher and is now a functional eating spot set up by Ketih Shreeve and David Sharry (previously at Candy Bar) offering an array of toasted pides and pastries. Designed by architects Six Degrees, this café is set behind a wall and the limited space is well utilised. The bar stretches across the inside of the main wall along the street. A large wooden table with stools is shared by patrons and allows you to stretch out and read the paper. The original tiles line many of the walls, the butcher's scales are still there and the old office remains and is now filled with tables for two. There is seating on the street including a range of coloured milk crates with circular cushions - very Sydney! It is a great breakfast spot, opening at 7am with toasted pide bread and homemade jams along with Russian pastries from Phillipass.
