Toofey's
Melburnians have always been able to trust in the freshness of the fish at Toofeys, Michael Bacash is fanatical about the quality of the seafood he buys. Now Michael seems to have found a chef in whom he can trust. He needed to take a step back from the stoves last year and after much angst has installed Jonathan Alston (ex Stokehouse) in the kitchen. He still makes sure that the fish is fresh and that the trust he has built up remains. Toofey's is an open, honest place which has attracted eaters from all over Melbourne. Still a place for "sophisticated fish, done simply."
