An oasis of warmth set in the tropics, Thai Classic is ideal for the romantic dinner. Pale green walls, cane furniture, a garden courtyard and lush fernery add to the serene relaxed atmosphere. The food is delicately presented and reasonably priced. Mussels lightly cooked in a claypot flavoured with slivers of lemon grass and basil rely on the accompanying sweet and sour dip for their bite. Shredded green paw paw salad with dried shrimps and peanuts tossed in lemon juice is refreshing and crunchy. There is a minimum charge of $15 per head on Friday and Saturday nights.
