Shanghai Noodle House
One of a new crop of Shanghai restaurants to open this year in Chinatown. A bright welcoming place with friendly staff. Lunchtimes are very busy but you can wait for a table to come free, they turn over pretty quickly here. Whilst waiting look at what's being served on the tables around you. Menus on display are all in Chinese but there are some pink laminated English menus. They sort of match the chairs. Simple black painted tables and a nifty little chipboard ledge snakes its way around a couple of the walls for single diners. Very good fresh food, very low prices. Costs you just a bit more than the Government Dumpling Shop in Shanghai but the queues are shorter.
