Richmond Hill Cafe & Larder
Service and situation mean so much. An impromptu birthday dinner was handled very well at the Larder as R.G. explains -"With my two best friends seated at the most exclusive table of all - on its own amongst the breads, sauces, relishes and oils. We were allowed a table outside the door of the most comprehensive cheese shop in Melbourne. Drinking sublime cabernet sauvignon. Toasting my friend's birthday frequently. This is a recipe for absolute bliss before the food even arrives. Cannot forget the flexibility and friendliness of the staff in finding us a private space - almost a room to ourselves and then enabling us to sample a range of dishes." These days Richmond Hill Cafe & Larder is very flexible, hosting wine dinners, music and comedy evenings, taking linen cloths off and putting them back on depending on the time of day. Brunch outside on Bridge Rd remains always hugely popular.
