View of Albert Park Lake from the dining room at The Point
The Point is one of Melbourne's special locations epitomising a particular mix of serenity and sophistication. The dining room is designed to give maximum view over the lake. Weather permitting, a business lunch outside on the balcony gives you a new focus on planning. And for the ultimate in romantic dining, try dinner at the top of the terrace tower (there's just room to squeeze a table for two). The menu offers a streamlined choice of nine entrees and nine main dishes or an innovative degustation menu of six courses for $75 ($110 with wines). Chef Richard Millar also offers daily specials. The wine list is well priced and offers a good selection. Beer drinkers have a choice of 34 varieties. And there are also heaps of choices of tea and coffee. For the combination of food, setting and service, The Point offers excellent value.
