We keep going back. Nothing new to say. The food is very genuine, the service suits the whole style of the place and it is always comfortable - partly because it seems to attract people who like it in the same way as we do. Some of these are regulars (often locals) but even newcomers seem to find what they expected. Excellent oysters, sardines, onion tart, omelette - lovely andouillette with addictive mustard sauce - and quail salad amongst the entrees. Great steak (good bearnaise), coq-au-vin, pheasant in season, duck, tuna amongst the mains. Wonderful crème bruleé. Small mixed wine list with some reasonable French wines (a variety of Beajoulais crus at $26) - they are more than happy with BYO and there are some very good bottles indeed on some tables! For us, genuine French bistro cooking at a very reasonable price. A comfortable, competent and happy place.
