Good service, reliable food and a good value wine list keep the local customers here at China Max. Set up by William Lee and chef Paul Chan, it specialises in roast meats and sells heaps from the takeaway section. In the dining room William likes to use his skills to do a lot of special table service, "when we are not too busy." The Peking duck is nicely presented in the room and all the dishes are served with great attention to detail. There is a fish tank with live seafood and lobster is popular. The partners have recently opened The New Age Cafe, in Box Hill.
