Once the toughest pub in town, this fabled Fitzroy watering hole has turned its back on the past and now presents pots to the artists of Fitzroy, or rather those of them who find Brunswick Street beyond them without a glass or two of Dutch courage. Cafe-style (not pub) meals are served and there are queues at the door these days to get into the Franco Cozzo room.
This 'original' pub, has carried the quest for authenticity to such lengths that Pokies have been banned.
