Baked Fruit Roll



Ingredients

1 tablespoon Butter

1 dessertspoon Butter

1/2 cup boiling Water

Water Water

Method

Make a biscuit paste by rubbing a tablespoon of butter into flour and soda and cream of tartar. Mix with the beaten egg and water. Roll out and spread with jam, peaches, apples and pears, thinly sliced, and sprinkled with sugar. Then roll together and place in a baking dish and pour over dessertspoon butter, sugar and boiling water, all mixed together. Bake slowly until a nice brown color, and serve with cream or custard.
