Roast Fillet of Beef



Ingredients

1 fillet Beef (?)

1/2 lb Butter

Method

Thoroughly trim fillet, make small incisions and insert slivers of garlic (about 6).

Place on rack in baking dish and sprinkle with paprika. Melt 1/4 lb butter and pour over fillet while hot.

Put in preheated 500 F oven for ten minutes.

Then pour over more hot melted butter and return to over for 2 minutes.

Reduce heat to 400 F for 20 minutes.

Slice and serve.


Remarks
Fillet out of fridge at least 2 hours before cooking.
