Lemon Pickle



Ingredients

10 Lemons

2 tablespoons Salt

1 dessertspoon Turmeric Powder

1 teaspoon Chilli Powder (optional)

Method

Cut five of the lemons in small pieces. Sprinkle with salt and the spices and put in a jar. Pour on the juice of the other five lemons. Cover tightly and keep in a warm place for a week, shaking the jar every day. The pickle is ready when the skins are tender.
