IngredientsLarge firm Tomatoes Breadcrumbs Butter Bacon Salt And Pepper Eggs |
MethodChoose large firm tomatoes and scoop out the centres. Break one egg carefully into each tomato, sprinkle with salt and pepper, cover with buttered breadcrumbs and lay a slice of bacon on each side. Bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes, turn the bacon over once during cooking. Place under a broiler (grill) for 1 minute to crisp and brown bacon and crumbs. |
