Plain Dumplings



Ingredients

1 cup Flour

Cornflour Cornflour

1 cup SR Flour

Cornflour Cornflour

1 heaped tablespoon Dripping

Dripping Dripping

Salt

Cold Water or milk

Water Water

Method

Combine flour, dripping and salt. Mix with cold water or milk to make the dough stiff. Mix with a knife, using a cutting motion and turning the basin while mixing. Roll in flour and drop into boiling water. Boil for 20 minutes from the time the water comes to the boil again.

Dumplings can also be made without dripping, but they are not as light.
