Sunday Times Gail Williams, 29-10-06 Score: 4 stars out of 5 "I'M SERIOUSLY tempted to tell you not to bother with The Village Cafe a new little Mediterranean that has popped up in Aberdeen St If I tell you the food is bad, the service terrible and that it has all the ambience of a bucketful of wet fish, then perhaps none of our STM readers will go there - then I can have the place all to myself. The truth is, everything about Village Cafe is pure joy, from the oysters natural to the seared amelia park premium cutlets. Throw in the sort of hospitality that makes you feel the sun is warming your back and a progression of delicious tapas-style dishes that come to the table in a laidback theatrical event and you begin to understand that this, indeed, is one of Perth's hidden gems."
