Gourmet Traveller 2007 Australian Restaurant Guide "At the northern end of the Margaret River wine-growing region lies Dunsborough, home to this slinky little bistro. Lanie Nelmes and chef Ang 'Sax' Baxter run their operation with incorrigible enthusiasm and winning style. It's a lovely space, with walls adorned with modern artworks."
Sunday Times Gail Williams, 7-05-06 Score: 4 stars out of 5 "The vibrant and relaxed Bax is somewhere between fine dining and bistro with the prices geared towards downright friendly. Special nights, every six weeks, are devoted to food, fashion and art. Baxter (who drives the kitchen) has followed the popular trend of not distinguishing between entrees and main courses on the menu. We started with sesame-crumbed cuttlefish ($14.50), which were as crisp and golden as they were uplifting. Caper aioli had just the right tartness to balance the palate."
