Mietta's Review
The younger sister of the successful Blue Duck next door. It has the same great views but is a bit more casual. Food and service are what you'd expect for the price and suit the beach clientele.

West Australian Good Food Guide 2012 Score: 12/20 "AT NIGHTIIME there's starched white linen, candlelit tables, killer views, yet despite the posh ness. Barchetta somehow still feels like a cafe"
The West Australian Good Food Guide 2011 Score: 12/20 "As befits a cafe perched above one of Perth's most celebrated beaches. Barchetta is relaxed. Positively dozy some days - and that's just the service"
The Sunday Times} Gail Williams, 04-10-2009 Score: Food 4/5, Ambience 4/5, Service 3/5, Score 14/20 "Surprised, refreshed and uplifted were also our delighted reactions, because the food being served was actually measuring up to the incredible view. Barchetta, meaning little boat in Italian, was put on the map in 2002 by the affable Kim Gamble"
West Australian Peter Kerr, 31-08-08 Score: 13.5/20 " a second visit six weeks later, after giving ex-head chef, now consultant Matthew Longshaw, time to bed down his "new" menu, proved much better. The dishes were simplified, and the technique sharper exemplified by one of the basic telltales of a good kitchen: vegetables."
