Mietta's Review
Since Kurt Sampson departure and the appointment of Irishman, John Nolton the menu has become a more conventional mediterranean as befits a South Yarra establishment. Service is very efficient and is dispensed by well bred women who approach the diner with the familiarity of an equal. This distinctive service style suits the clubby atmosphere of this established restaurant patronised by the comfortable. Reasonable prices for the quality. Recommended.

Other published opinions

Age Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 14.5/20 "Harveys is as light, bright and breezy as the airkisses that lunch crowds toss with abandon. But the hospitality runs deep here, evident in the unfailingly professional service, insightful wine suggestions and mostly well-executed offerings from the kitchen"

Herald Sun Donna Coutts, 6-01-07 "Sit among the who's who of South Yarra and eat excellent breakfast and drink first-rate coffee. The service is impeccable."

The Age Good Food Guide 2006 score 14/20 "Sarah Harvey is a master at delivering on customers' demands. They wanted somewhere smart enough to take business clients, yet relaxed enough for can't-be-bothered-cooking evenings. So she crafted a dining room with widely spaced tables, aged timber floors and calm grey walls."

The Age Good Food Guide 2006 Dog Friendly Dining "Inspired by their poodle-loving owner, the staff at Harveys know how to spoil your 'baby'. Thirsty hounds are encouraged to take their spot under the kerbside tree, where a bowl of water is promptly delivered."
