Mietta's Review The winds of change have swept through the London, part of the Lion Nathan major acquisition of hotels which so rocked Melbourne mid 2000. In February 2005 the upstairs restaurant closed. One of the first of the gastro pub restaurants this is almost the end of an era. However the Cafe Bar downstairs continues to attract a crowd of supporters eager to down a few drinks and listen to the live music at weekends. A 'grazing' menu is available.

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 Imagine if the London attempted to live up to its name. Everything would be ludicrously expensive and they'd insist on plonking jellied eels on the menu - talk about capital punishment. Thankfully, it's more interested in delivering quality pub grub.
The Age, Epicure, 1/6/04,Daniella Miletic,'The London Cafe Bar is an old pub that has been converted into a groovy bar. With its beach views,it is a favourite for breakfast for Beacon Cove residents.'
