The Age Clem Bastow, 7-2-2008 "Red Monkey is a fine example of what happens when a bar's design is left half to chance and half to someone stylish - you know, everyone has a friend like that; ask them where they got their incredible outfit/lounge suite/dog and they just say, "Oh, here and there". Little tables with square cushioned stools spread out in front of the window, while in the "bay" there is a cushioned lounge, and stools at the bar that forms the focal point (naturally) of the room. Lovely touches, including one of those otherwise daggy suburban leadlight bookcases filled with fairy lights instead of Reader's Digest back issues"
