Mietta's Review
At this vineyard he makes the wine, she does the cooking. And, very nicely too. The rammed earth building has an light-airy dining room with the requisite vineyard views. Simple French inspired dishes at reasonable prices.

Age Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 14/20 "Down a dusty unmade road an hour from Melbourne's CBD, and surrounded by vineyards, is the modern rammed-earth and architecturally adventurous building that is Jill's"

The Age Good Food Guide 2006 score 13/20 "Jill Mcintyre's passion and skills tap into the essence of regional French and Italian cuisine to create earthy foods with clean flavours."

Gourmet Traveller 2006 restaurant guide "The rammed-earth and raw-timber construction of Moorooduc Estate houses a B&B, cellar door and Jill's restaurant - a charming room with great acoustics and an atmosphere that makes for pleasant and private dining. This earthy backdrop complements Jill McIntyre's unpretentious French-inspired food"

The Age Good Food Guide 2005 score 13/20 "GIVE your 4WD its annual workout on the dirt road that leads to this modern rammed-earth restaurant. The feeling is rustic but well heeled: the airy dining room features an undulating plywood ceiling, designer fireplace and lovely vineyard views. It's all very comfortable, apart from the shin-bashing tables."

Gourmet Traveller 2005 Restaurant Guide "Jill, cooks a simple, French-inspired carte for a couple of lunches and dinners each week. But there's nothing amateurish about how either meets their job description. It all happens in the cool, spacious dining room of a rammed-earth building, overlooking vineyards"

Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Australia 2004,'produces food with a respect for the seasons. The menu draws on the cooking of southern Italy and France, using mostly local organic produce...An open fire welcomes guests to the kilim-strewn room in cold weather, but in summer the balcony is the spot...extensive wine list...Service fluctuates a bit.'
