Mietta's Review
A modern large restaurant that serves an authentic Greek menu based around mezze style dining. Whilst the room is intimate it is also suitable for large groups ready to share many well prepared small dishes. The service is friendly and ready to help non-Greek clients, although it is a popular destination amongst Greeks. The wine list is extensive, with some Greek options and well priced.

Other published opinions

Age Good Food Guide 2009 Score: 12/20 "Sharing copious plates of mezze is the best way to enjoy Greek food and the concept has made Kri Kri popular. It was one of the first Greek restaurants to ditch cliched island decor for a smarter bistro look, but hasn't really taken the food to any great heights"

Age Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 13/20 "Modern Greek experimentation might be popular in the city right now, but Kri Kri - the name of a Cretan goat, by the way - is keeping it traditional"

The Age Good Food Guide 2006 score 12/20 "Kri Kri promotes itself as Australia's first mezze restaurant, but that's hardly a point of difference among Melbourne's tradition-loving Greek tavernas. What does set it apart, however, is its willingness to diverge from the well-trodden path of Hellenic fare."

The Age Good Food Guide 2005 "PERCHED on the edge of Chinatown, Kri Kri mimics the yum cha philosophy with its menu of Greek mezedes, providing a relaxed style of eating that eschews entrees and mains in favour of small, shared plates."

The Age, Agenda, 6/6/04, John Lethlean,'An inoffensive sort of place on Bourke Hill's restaurant precinct,Kri Kri goes through the usual Greek motions without a lot of passion.Known for its small dishes,a specials list-which doesn't appear to change much-offered us sardines in a thick layer of flour,OK whole baked baby snapper,an acceptable Greek salad and excellent horta.Uninspiring, and uninspired, really.'

The Age Cheap Eats 2004,'With well spaced tables a few highchairs and a relaxed attitude,Kri Kri keeps kids smiling. The extensive list of mezeded provides a solution for even the fussiest eaters.'

AGFG 2004, score 13/20, wide vegetarian selection, two courses $25 or less
