Mietta's Review
Jamie Oliver's philanthropic incursion into Melbourne has taken over what was Momo. His youthful team is producing achievable food for the suburban masses that flood in for lunch (dishes are a bit under $30) and dinner (6 course degustation $90). The staff bask in Jamie's reflected glory (and the 10 TV coverage). In late 06 it's still early days so it will be interesting to see this worthy venture mature.

Other published opinions

The Age Dani Valent, 27-8-2007 "When Fifteen opened last September it was with the palaver that attends everything Jamie Oliver so much as farts on, plus the fanfare whipped up by a TV show that tracked the struggles of the restaurant's conception and the trials of its struggletown apprentices. This was no normal restaurant. A year later, Fifteen is still different: 30 per cent of profits are devoted to plucking youths from trouble's hungry maw and giving them another go"

Age Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 13.5/20 "Given that it is a charity, was a TV show, has been the target of a Today Tonight 'controversy' and is the brainchild of British chef Jamie Oliver, it's difficult to experience Fifteen as just another restaurant"

Age Epicure Restaurants, John Lethlean, 28-11-06 Score: 13/20 "And yet, it's impossible to deny that what is happening here has no commercial legs without the life support mechanism that is Jamie and his international audience. Pound for pound, Fifteen is a restaurant lightweight, in the ring with a bunch of heavyweights."
