Mietta's Review
The vista takes in the well manicured greens of the Yarra Bend golf course, the food is simple and Italian in influence, and the clientele are the elegant women who dine from the surrounding prosperous eastern suburbs. Its a lovely light filled room in which to have a leisurely simple meal whether at lunch or breakfast and a great spot to keep in mind for a function. The acclaimed Valerio Nucci may no longer cook here, but food standards are reasonable and so are the prices if a little high.

Other published opinions

The Age Dani Valent, 25-9-2007 "Epicure Catering manages this large, light, flexible room, which does double duty as a function space. The staff wear company aprons and you might expect a robotic edge to the service. It's not there. The waiters were on the ball and demonstrated an investment in the place that you don't always find in a branch office. I was impressed by the trouble taken with a soy latte. The barista halted mid-handover. "I'm not happy with that," she said, perceiving a dip in the coffee's creamy head. It was whisked away and she started over. Nice."

The Age Good Food Guide 2003. Score 12/20. The Herald Sun, 25.01.00, Stephen Downes review "Arguably, Melbournes best Italian chef, Valerio Nucci cooks here. A large airy and very stylish place most used as a function centre. The Boulevard has a wonderfu view of golf links and city. Dishes are refined; the pasta offerings terrific. A little seafood and vegetable salad featured small and appropriately thin slices of such things as snowpea, beetroot, waxy potato, octopus, prawn tail and mussels." The Herald Sun, 02.04.99, Stephen Downes review "You pay very reasonable prices for fine Italian food at The Boulevard. The wine list is limited, but very well-chosen and excellently priced. Many wines sold by the glass. Score: 18 out of 20"
