Mietta's Review
This ia a popular relaxed suburban restaurant with a conservative menu that is appropriate for its local clientele. This isn't the place for meat free dining - the accent is firmly on flavoursome European dishes that go well with wine. Service is helpful and prices are what you would expect in this area.

Other published opinions

Age Good Food Guide 2008 Score: 12/20 "Baraka is just the place to take a gang of your septuagenarian mates (as long as none of them are vegetarian). It's a quiet, uncluttered bistro with a legion of loyal admirers"

The Age Good Food Guide 2006 score 13/20 "Barraka is a Spanish word meaning shack or hut, which is exactly the homely, rustic feel owner Paul Kelesi was striving for at this popular local eatery. As the name suggests, Baraka is unpretentious and simply furnished, with a menu of hearty middle-European dishes that thumbs its nose at fickle trends and diets."

The Age Good Food Guide 2005 "Paul Kelesi has now opened his first restaurant, in the Kew space previously occupied by Cafe Jus. And already he's attracted a loyal core of regulars with a seasonally changing, trans-European menu."
