Mietta's Review
There must be something about Malaysian food and jazz. PJs joins the Chinta group with its music and decor - posters of jazz greats. The food too, of course. At this popular spot Malaysian dishes are done well here and charged for.

Other published opinions

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "A SMILING effigy of Louis Armstrong greets diners as they arrive, and pictures of assorted jazz heroes line the walls, but the drifting mellow music is barely audible over the chatter of punters and happy clicking of chopsticks in this not-quite-noir Malaysian eatery."

The Age Cheap Eats 2004 "LIKE the background jazz music, PJ's is given to a touch of improvisation. Order Malaysian, and you'll get the real thing; keep your peace and you'll get retro"

The Age, A2, 22/3/2003, To Go Matt Preston, 'It's worth crossing the suburbs for PJ's butter prawns.'
