Mietta's Review
It may not come in the prettiest package, but they say it's what's inside that counts, and nothing can be truer at Fedeles. It's the destination restaurant around these parts, because the food is well prepared, served in generous portions and the service is welcoming and efficient. The menu is traditional Italian with lots of meat dishes, and the wine list presents many robust Italian reds to compliment, it is little wonder middle aged men love to come here, be it for a business lunch or a friendly dinner. If fruity and crisp is what you like from a grape, you can feel just as comfortable bringing your own, there is no corkage charge incurred.

The Age Good Food Guide 2005 "this stayer has a deserved reputation for accomplished Italian cuisine that manages to overcome the barnlike atmosphere, the red-and-white gingham and the uninspiring view. Reassurance begins with the friendly service and continues with a menu"

AGFG 2004 score 13/20 Herald Sun, sunday magazine, 25/1/04, Lyall Corless, Score 8/10, 'Proven performer.'

The Age Good Food Guide 2003. Score 14/20.

The Age, 13.07.99, John Lethlean review "...on this unlikely site, packaged in brick veneer, aluminium-framed windows and frilly curtains, cars whizzing by on the outer suburban super-highway that is Springvale Road, is an Italian restaurant where the food and wine demand to be taken seriously, and it comes as a surprise...Fedele's presents the most delicous paradox. It is a blue chip example of the 'don't judge a book by its cover' maxim...It's just like being in Italy. Sort of. Score: 14 out of 20."
