The Age Dani Valent, 27-11-2007 "Houndstooth is the answer. This shopfront bar and diner has been open a couple of years but owner Joseph Simone gave the menu a shake-out early in 2007. He made the food cheap. Really cheap: $10 for a two-course meal and $15 to walk out stuffed. But cheap is one thing, edible is another. Houndstooth's food is good. Imagine a talented home cook hosting a dinner party two days shy of pay day. It's that kind of food: the ingredients aren't flash but the feel is solid."
