Mietta's Review Still going strong after more than a decade, the Gypsy Bar was the first 'late' bar on Brunswick Street and remains a very popular place for a drink - it's anything to everyone, for a late drink, a snack, a coffee, lunch, dinner, even breakfast. It is a small space with an intimate and friendly ambience, a great place to relax and unwind anytime of the day or night.
Other published opinions
The Age Cheap Eats Bars 2007 "Snaffle the window seat at this busy little bar, where a no-frills ethos has kept this place happening for over a decade - no small feat in fickle Brunswick Street."
The Age Cheap Eats 2004 "the enormous front windows work as ringside seats overlooking the Fitzroy circus. But with a reasonably priced red wine in one hand, and the other reaching for a pile of golden calamari or steaming frites, this is as cruisy as it gets."
