Mietta's Review Looking in through the windows, it is often hard to decipher from the real life clientele and the dummies that seam to line the walls here, because they all seem to look alike. Set in an old antiques warehouse, the best kitsch pieces seem to have been left behind by the previous owners. The rare collection of antique advertising, pinball machines and classic jukeboxes gives the sense of hiding and rummaging through a museum while having your meal. Even though very little natural light can get in, Dante's is popular throughout the day for lunch or a drink in the afternoon. The menu is cheap and cafe style, with many options for vegetarians.
Other published opinions The Age, Sunday Life, 1/6/2003, Eat Streets, John Lethlean, 'It's very Fitzroy, as is the eclectic menu of budget standards, from curries to pasta, with plenty of vegetarian-friendly stuff thrown in.'
