Mietta's Review
Everest India is regarded very highly, specially for its takeaway food. It is also considered a great place to feed and entertain the kids. They love the breads done in the oven. And parents find the staff here are very tolerant - letting them run round and even spill things. The good range of vegetarian dishes and low prices are big attractions here too.

Other published opinions

The Age Cheap Eats 2008 "You could bang on about the Indian cricket team eating here in 2004 (and why wouldn't you?)"

The Age Cheap Eats 2007 "It might not reach the pinnacle, but unlike most treading the well-worn path of north Indian cuisine, Everest at least gets to base camp. Against a backdrop of signed photos of startled cricket stars and drowsy sitar music, Everest produces tandoori such as succulent barra kebab (subtly spiced lamb cutlets in rum), brick-red vindaloos and substantial vegetarian dishes such as paneer kadhaiwala ('cottage cheese' cooked with tomato, capsicum and ginger)."

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 Poster-sized, signed photographs of the Indian cricket team adorn the walls of this diner, and intricately carved mahogany furniture and well-groomed staff add a bit of class.
