Star Bar Cafe began a food revolution in Launceston some years ago with its huge open log fire, flagstone floors, modern bar, Mediterranean decor, sharp service and menu. Still a lunch time favourite and busy weekends. Wood fired pizza and fresh pasta with seasonal toppings is the option most prefer. Only criticism is that the staff here always seem to be in a hurry and one or two more on the floor might make the experience less stressed for all concerned. These days modern en-suite accommodation is also available.
