Mietta's Review
The restaurant of Peppers Seaport Hotel in Launceston. Its a beautiful spot overlooking the Esk River not far from Stillwater. The quality of the decor is as expected from this hotel group. Good food, mostly within the European palate, comes from chef, Massimo Mele, and is professionally served. A comfortable dining experience.

Gourmet Traveller 2008 Australian Restaurant Guide "Mud has good food but the service can at times be wanting. That said, what comes on the plate is pretty impressive for a provincial restaurant - some of the best tucker in Lonnie"

Gourmet Traveller 2005 Restaurant Guide "Chicken is roasted to order and Flinders Island beef and lamb are cooked on the open grill. All is enjoyed in relaxed and comfortable surroundings: banquettes with cushions, large windows, dramatic light fittings and a muted colour scheme that matches the mud."

Gourmet Traveller Australian Restaurant Guide 2005 "On the muddy banks of the North Esk River, Mud has been a hit since day one. There is a high level of professionalism both on the floor and in the kitchen, which is carried through to the plate. You won't find tricked-up food here. Instead, as if to match the clean lines of the bar and restaurant itself, there is the confidence to let flavours speak for themselves."

Courier Mail Goodlife 14/12/04 "the unpromisingly named Mud Restaurant and Bar at Peppers Seaport Hotel. Located on the banks of the Tamar within five minutes walk of Stillwater, this savvy little restaurant primarily services Peppers"
