Mietta's Review
The stone villa was built in 1918 - hence the name. It is very much a local favourite. Service is cheerful and there's a variety of rooms, odd nooks and corners for private conversation. The menu is very mixed (choose carefully) but acknowledges local produce. The extensive wine list, mostly from the Barossa, has a selection of cleanskins.

Adelaide Advertiser 2006 "New owners Melissa and Christian Fletcher are stamping their influence on this Barossa institution. It was originally established more than a decade ago by winemaker Robert O'Callaghan and chef Sandor Palmai."

The Advertiser, Food & Wine, 2/4/03, 'Always impressive. Sit in its idyllic garden setting on the main street of Tanunda, on the verandah, or inside next to a open fire.'
