Marooned in the tundra of the outer suburbs, one of Adelaide's oldest and best-loved restaurants. A generously stocked fish tank, brown vinyl chairs, plastic doilies and a kaleidoscope of other details set the scene. Yet, as one veteran diner wistfully observes, the experience of eating at the Vietnam is not unlike seeing 'The Scent of Green Papaya'. certainly there is an air of self-congratulation among the diners for being custodians of one the best-kept secrets. BBQ quail, skewered mince pork with fresh salad.
