Mietta's Review
A warm Adelaide night, people everywhere - on the footpath, in the main dining area and in the crowded narrow aisles where a continual brush of staff manages to wrong-foot you once again. There appears to be no order but for those safely seated, it's clearly fun. An unbooked one is led by Maria out a side door down a narrow sloping passage to Siberia - a quiet curtained dining cum holding room. The setting is basic in the extreme the menu old-fashioned, but none the worse for that, and the kitchen fiercely efficient. No surprises but locals, some of who have been coming for 30 years, recommend it for pizza, risotto and coffee.

Other published opinions

Adelaide Advertiser 2006 "This cafe attracts the beautiful people. Bursting with a mixed demographic - families with littlies, lots of cool, young things with interesting hairdos and laid-back thirtysomethings. The European Cafe is fairly small - two main rooms split by an arch, white walls with dark wood trim, full glass frontage to watch the people on The Parade, a big pizza oven giving off welcoming aromas and Sistine Chapel-type prints along the walls."
