Fabulous position, right on the Torrens River, expensive refurb and a good setting. Andrew Felke, the owner/chef, came to prominence with Bush Tucker whose flavours have been tamed for this re-incarnation of Red Ochre. Very comfortable restaurant.

A feisty overseas tourist, tired of waterfalls on the itinerary, once complained to me that "Australians are obsessed with water". Sad, but true. She also observed it was hard to find good and truly Australian food. Also sad, but true. To us, fine waterside dining is rare and beautiful, the stuff for special occasions. While our Torrens is far from pristine, it still provides that picturesque blend of water and twinkling city lights"
The Adelaide Food Guide 2010 "Red Ochre has one of the city's best dining spots - perched on the edge of the Torrens and looking towards the city. While it has built a reputation for serving an assortment of outofthe ordinary meats and other ingredients, don't be put off"
