Adelaide Advertiser 2006 "Set at the western end of the Torrens Lake, Cafe Lago has a picture-perfect view of Adelaide's CBD and it would be hard not to be impressed by what you see. Lago is the bottom half of a duet of restaurants - its partner the Red Ochre - perched beside the lake, making it a popular destination with locals and tourists alike."

Adelaide Advertiser Tony Love 17/8/05 score 15.5/20 "Lago is the bottom half of a duet of restaurants - its partner the Red Ochre - perched beside the lake taking in this view. It's one of the city's most fortunate locations. We have few such waterside settings, and the designers long ago made sure that the good things here came in wrap-around glass to take full advantage. Add a mini-canal at the entrance, with the sounds of flowing water to add to the sensory experience, and you can imagine this being a popular tourist destination; and from all reports it is. Now to the other senses such a restaurant must entertain. Lago is the "Tuscan-influenced" one, downstairs. Red Ochre, a short, winding staircase upwards, brings in the curious with its reputation for native Australian foods, though this has moved on from past experiments in eating our national arms and other associated furry things. It now concentrates, under the direction of executive chef Ray Mauger, on serving more classic ingredients with bush-tucker-style flourishes."
