A small, unpretentious restaurant just ten minutes west of the city. Vegans are politely advised that they do use honey and milk. Spectacular 'super steamy pot' (min 2 people) is a pot of soup with plates of leafy greens, mixed 'vegetarian meats', and bean curd to be cooked by the diner in the soup. Lor Han Hang Sue is a braise of different vegetables and bean curd, black fungus and various mushrooms. Drinks include beers and a small list of inexpensive wines, with some by the glass. Take the time to pay your respects at the Buddhist shrine, with its flashing lights and offerings of fruit and subtle incense.
