Mietta's Review
How fantastic it is to find a place that doesn't need to change. Excellent, traditional Italian food, pleasant professional service, a reasonable wine list and very affordable prices. It is a formula that's hard to beat, at least that's what most of Adelaide's Italian population seem to think. Highly recommended.

Other published opinions

The Age John Lethlean, 29-10-2007 Score: 15/20 "It's the sort of restaurant we don't see much of any more in Melbourne, and if we do, it's probably in Brunswick or Thornbury. It's daggy; it also has incredible soul, a proper reflection of its owners (two Calabria-born brothers) and a generation of Italian settlement in this country. When you get to the green-clothed table, escorted by one of the dapper chaps in black pants, waistcoats, ties and white shirts, making your way through a surprisingly diverse throng most restaurants would be thrilled to have on a Tuesday night, there is one table accessory that sums up this place and explains why we're here - an oval plate with two saucers. The paper doily says something about the old-school aesthetic; the saucers - one with olive oil, the other with cut fresh chilli in olive oil - say plenty about the gastronomic values. Enzo's is unashamedly about food. It may look like a restaurant completely happy to trot out the cliches, but that's not Enzo Fazzari's thing. The place is about rustic authenticity and generosity. Don't underestimate the generosity."

Adelaide Advertiser 2006 "There is a lot of good, contemporary Italian food in Adelaide but there are few places as good for the soul as this, that truly capture la dolce vita. It's all very riotous, charming, noisy and warm."

Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide "A no-nonsense taverna, Enzo's has enough boisterousness, generous spirit and honest-to-goodness cooking to make you feel everything is right with the world. Wildly popular, it's a place to take friends when you want to get loud - just make sure you book well ahead."

The Adelaide Advertiser "A traditional taverna of warmth and charm. Great cooking occasionally let down by average ingredients."

The Adelaide Advertiser 28/4/04, mention for rigatoni alla Norma.
