Mietta's Review
The name pretty much sums up this eating and drinking institution. Good meat - New York cut and wines. A healthy appetite and knowledge of the cellar is all that's required. Owner Stratos Pouras says proudly - nothing has changed in over 22 years!

Other published opinions

Adelaide Advertiser Tony Love, 09-7-2008 "Stratos Pouras nailed the formula 30 years ago and obviously nothing broke because he hasn't had to fix much since. He is one of the rare ones, an original gentleman who's stayed at the helm the whole journey. His grill menu reads like a butcher's picnic, and still comes written on a large cleaver: featuring chateaubriand, tartare, dianne, New York cut, Texas T-bone and many more."

Adelaide Advertiser 2006 "While the rest of the eating-out trade tweaks their menus with new dishes and flavours, the south-east suburban C&C happily plugs away at its tried and true New York-style steak house game which attracts a classic old-school business crowd as well as families comfortable with a non-threatening menu and traditional service values."

Adelaide Advertiser Tony Baker 26/10/05 "Cork & Cleaver remains, without undue fanfare, one of the state's best restaurants, smooth, handsome and trustworthy."
