Mietta's Review
The food here is glorious and ridiculously cheap, so forget about the decor. Always packed, and often with people from the hospitality industry (it's open late), this is serious value for money. Specialising in Northern Chinese cuisine, Ying Chow also features a large range of vegan dishes. An Adelaide institution.
Other published opinions
The Adelaide Food Guide 2010 "It's not the decor that attracts the hordes to Gouger St institution Ying Chow. Perennially popular, this northern Chinese restaurant draws not only hungry locals, but interstate and international diners as well, including Antonio Carluccio"
Adelaide Advertiser 2006 "Chinese Ying Chow is an institution in Gouger St, perennially popular thanks to its low prices, the quality of the cooking and its late opening hours. Book early or be prepared to wait for one of the tables on either side of the long room or the few crowded on to the footpath outside."
