Mietta's Review
With Cheong Liew in the kitchen, The Grange is something special. The food is always excellent and offers interesting detail in every dish. The tasting menu is divine as are Cheong's special dinners, which he does at regular intervals and are occasions not to be missed. The service is good and the wine list is a real pleasure.

Gourmet Traveller 2007 Australian Restaurant Guide Score: ** "There's nothing quite like the cooking ofchef Cheong Liew, whose style is surely the definitive expression of modern culinary fusion. Set in the back corner of the Adelaide Hilton's ground floor, there's the occasional intrusive bit of foyer action, but at your table, on tripledecked plate settings and with brilliant wine matches - $89 for a full eight-course package - you enter another world."

Adelaide Advertiser 2006 "Modern international Having notched up 10 years in this ground-floor corner of Adelaide's Hilton, the Grange has tweaked a few aspects and added a lounge so the restaurant relates better to the rest of the hotel , including its much improved sister restaurant, The Brasserie, which has moved to a genuine SA regional food focus."

Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide *** "Cheong Liew's 10th anniversary at the Hilton sees no slackening of his creativity. A series of astonishing new degustation menus explores seafood and vegetarian landscapes in fresh ways; another culminates in a spectacular salt-crusted Kangaroo Island chicken."

Gourmet Traveller 2005 Australian Restaurant Guide *** "Almost a decade at the helm ofThe Grange, Cheong Liew continues to challenge and excite diners with his inimitable and outstanding cuisine. The weekend eight-course degustation menu embodies this - taking diners on a culinary ride"

Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Australia 2004, 3 Red Stars, Excellent wine list,'Those familar with The Grange might well complain that the restaurant itself is now somewhat less stylish than the cooking of its star chef, but once you start tasting the food this seems a churlish complaint.Liew's fertile mind has brought substantial menu changes over the past year, promising 'edible harmony''

The Weekend Australian, 1-2 March 2003, Deborah Bogle. The Edible Harmony degustation menu is superb, especially accompanied by Trevor Maskell's matching wine package.
