Mietta's Review
With discreet and secluded dining spaces and an impressive cellar, Blake's offers a cosy dining experience. Sommelier, Jane Radman's excellent wine list is divided between a special list which features an expensive array of vintage wine and a current wine list with a selection by the glass. Chef Jason Camillo is cooking modern Australian dishes.

Gourmet Traveller 2008 Australian Restaurant Guide "Perched on the first floor above the portico of the Hyatt where a half-moon window provides a view of the hotel's comings and goings, Blake's is stuck in a bit of a time warp"

Gourmet Traveller 2007 Australian Restaurant Guide "Tucked away on the first floor of the Hyatt, Blake's seems, at times, to have lost touch with the vagaries of modern restaurants in the outside world - for better and worse. It's both comfortable and clubby, with well-padded seats, heavy table linen and hallmarked silver."

Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide "Blake's has a clubby, upmarket feel, with all the hallmarks of five-star dining - warm timber features, wine memorabilia and comfy chairs. But plush hotel trimmings don't mean the food treads staid territory."

Gourmet Traveller 2005 Australian Restaurant Guide "It would be a shame to treat Blake's purely as a "special occasion" restaurant. Sure, it's set in a five-star hotel and prices are the high-end for Adelaide, but you can pay the same elsewhere and not be exposed to such excellent food, wine and service."

Sunday Mail 30/05/04 "Blake's is a whole dining experience, with superb food you just don't make at home in a top-shelf setting where you settle in to enjoy the best."

The Adelaide Advertiser 7/4/04, mentioned as open Easter Saturday dinner.

Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Australia 2004, Excellent wine list,'Blake's is no trendsetter, but it's a comfortable, intimate restaurant, and the cooking remains consistently sound...Blake's strongest attraction, though, is its wine'
