The restaurant is spread over several terraces that wrap around the ridge, affording leafy vistas from most tables. The menu is a safe mix of mod Oz bistro and cafe fare with the odd foray into Asia and the Middle East"
Courier Mail Food and Wine Guide 2009 Queensland Score: 14/20 "Perched on a slope overlooking the St Lucia Golf Links, the restaurant is a masterful piece of design - terraced into the hill its alfresco setting is protected from the elements by a series of fixed sails"
Brisbane News 14-5-2008 Tony Harper Score: Food 7 Wine 7.5 Service 7.5 Ambience 8.5 "It's not so much the spectacle of golfers duffing their approach shots as it is the expanse of fairways and greens, towering gums, water- and sand traps. The setting of the restaurant truly is marvellous, terraced into a hill overlooking the St Lucia Golf Links. But there is much more to it than the view. Whoever designed the place knew how to create feeling and mood, and how to tread a very fine line between alfresco and shelter."
Courier Mail Anooska Tucker-Evans, "SPOTLIGHTS shine into the canopies of beautiful old trees while garden beds glow with striking red cordylines, and rows of candles in coloured glass vases provide a soft light. By night, the St Lucia Golf Links' highly acclaimed Hundred Acre Bar is absolutely gorgeous"
Courier Mail food and wine guide Queensland 2008 Score: 14/20 "This place really captures the leafy, almost bucolic character of many of Brisbane's hillier suburbs. By day the views sweep across golf fairways and tall gum trees, and by night to tastefully spotlit trees in the middle distance"
Brisbane News Dining Out Guide 2007 "As the name suggests, this recently refurbished restaurant looks out to at least 100 acres of lush lawns and golf course"

Courier Mail Good Life 26/4/05 "THE Hundred Acre Bar spreads over several tiers, all outdoors but under cover, at St Lucia Golf Club on the border of St Lucia and Indooroopilly. The main part of the bar is adjacent to the pro shop, as are two large communal tables which can be put together for large parties or left as is for smaller gatherings. The dining terraces are below and command expansive views of the golf course and players cruising around in their carts. The score - Food: 14, Wine: 14, Service: 14, Ambience: 15"
Courier Mail Good Life 17/8/04 Alison Cotes "The area now divides seamlessly into three, with tables and comfortable rattan chairs on the lower terrace, high stools and a bar on the second level, and a huge wooden table for more casual drinks and snacks on the flat upper area. There are wall benches with cushions, huge sun sails with heaters, and the same excellent view of the links that makes every visit an experience. Just be sure to wrap up warmly, though, as the winds can be chilling if you're not sitting in the sun."
