Mietta's Review
The Garlic Clove is tucked away in a most unlikely suburban block of shops and is a strong local favourite. Owned and run by Jean Pierre and Anne Marie Ouray, offering traditional French cuisine (onion soup, duck with orange) at very reasonable prices, or the excellent value set price menu. Desserts are good too. In 06 mains averaged $25.

Other published opinions

Courier-Mail Good Life Restaurant Guide 2006 "Jean Pierre Ouary and his wife Anne-Marie have been running this small but smart restaurant at the Gold Coast for about 10 years. The couple ran a restaurant in Perth for a couple of years before going back to their French homeland to hone their skills and returning to open Garlic Clove."

Courier-Mail Goodlife Restaurant Guide 05 "It's a small but a very smart eatery serving Coquilles St Jacques, canard a l'orange and other classic French fare, and it's been on the dining radar of Coast foodies for the best part of a decade."
